Meet the Gene Machine S3-S6
The 'Meet the Gene Machine' cross-curricular activity at Dundee Science Centre has two key elements, a 12 minute drama followed by a lively discussion. It is easy to stage and can be adapted to various audience sizes and venue types. The target audience for this event is secondary school students, not just science students but students from a general spectrum of classes, as it covers real moral and social issues and healthcare ethics. The issues for discussion are applicable to all students.
Pre-Visit Activities
Before your visit to Dundee Science Centre, we recommend some activities for you to do in the classroom to give the pupils an introduction to the topic. This will enable them to contribute and participate in the discussion led by members of our team.
