Plants are living things (Early and First levels (Suitable for P1 upwards) SCN0-01s, SCN0-03a, SCN1-01a, SCN1-02a, SCN1-03a)
What is it that makes plants alive? Find out in this hands-on session that explores the topic of growing. A messy activity which results in pupils taking away a grass head!

Healthy Body Bits (Early and First level HWB0-47b, SCN1-12a)
An exploration of what is inside us, and how we are all the same. This workshop uses Stuffee, our giant rag doll, who is more than happy for pupils to operate on him and find out what organs he has!

How to be a Scientist  (Early and First levels (Suitable for P1 upwards) SCN0-11a, SCN0-12a, SCN0-15a)
Let your little scientists use their senses to develop their curiosity about the world around them with our engaging, investigative experiments. From objects that buzz to reactions that fizz there is plenty to get excited about in this hands-on workshop.

What schools have said about their visits to Dundee Science Centre:

"Positive praise and encouragement helped the pupils make informed guesses. It gave the pupils the opportunity to consider the importance of healthy eating and exercise."

"Thank you for lettings us come to let us learn about our bodies. We had great fun and we learned new things. We enjoyed the experiments and the big nose that you climb in. We would like to come again." Methilhill Primary School, P3/4 class.

"Thank you for a lovely morning at Sensation. We came to the Dinodig event. We loved digging for bones and then sweeping them with paint brushes. We had a great time and we hope to come back and visit soon." St Clements Primary School, P2/3 class.
