Roborealm zone

In Roborealm, discover the present and imagine the future of amazing robot technology.  The movement-activated video wall shows video clips of robots – both real and fictional – to encourage your group to consider the possibilities that this technology may offer.

Control a robot arm, or observe a line-following robot with exhibits that are curriculum-linked for P1-S4 (download materials to support Standard Grade Computing here).

The SensoryBots challenge visitors to a game in which they have to evade the robots’ excellent sensory perception.  These exhibits demonstrate how technology offers the capacity for robots to sense waves that we humans cannot, such as infra-red and ultrasound.  Encourage your pupils to see the thermal imaging camera on the ground floor to see another use of infra-red perception technology.

ROBOREALM: MINDBALL

The new Mindball zone is now open.  The fascinating Mindball exhibit provides a challenge between two participants.  The exhibit measures brain activity as participants attempt to train their brain to become a Mindball victor!
