Outreach

Dundee Science Centre’s educational outreach service can bring almost all of our workshop activities to your school.

We can set up in your school, and deliver our activities to up to five classes per day.  We can bring a maximum of two different workshop themes per day, so you could let us bring different activities for different ages.  Maybe even team up with a local school to split costs and share experiences!

Outreach is available for nurseries, primary and secondary schools, as well as out of school clubs, uniform groups and community fairs.  Call us on 01382 868609 to discuss how we can tailor our activities for you.

Out of school club outreach

Additional activities, particularly suitable for out of school clubs (therefore suitable for a wide age range participating together) are:

Potions!  (suitable for age 5-12 years)

A hands-on workshop exploring simple and fun science experiments with dramatic fizzing and popping results!

Footprints and Fingerprints!  (suitable for age 5-12 years)

A hands-on, fun introduction to forensic science, as participants take their own fingerprints, analyse the patterns, and make a plaster cast of a footprint!
